My client is a management entity that provides some consulting services to subsidiary companies, and management support to those companies. It further overseas a large portfolio of real-estate investments and manages and liaises with managing agents of those portfolios.
Summary
The Paralegal position is responsible for providing a range of legal support and office administrative services to the CEO and CFO. The successful candidate will have a strong background in executive, company secretarial, and paralegal work with a focus on commercial law. Key responsibilities include:
- Handling company secretarial roles, including the correct filing of documentation for several companies
- Producing some legal documents and or amendments on a defined range of legal documents, and also preparing writs or briefing documents from time to time
- Handling ad hoc invoices and debtor collection
- Handling personal assistant tasks, including diary and meeting management
- Handling a variety of mid-level excel tasks in order to arrange or collate reports
Responsibilities
- Legal
- Provide document updates and reviews for a list of defined legal matters specifically:
- Leases;
- Extensions and Variations;
- Surrenders;
- Draft legal documents, including:
- Writs for demands;
- Counsel briefing documents;
- Non disclosures documents;
- Manage and track legal files and documents
- Communicate with clients and other parties involved in legal matters
- Accounting
- Prepare invoices on an ad-hoc basis
- Perform debtor collection and understand process issues that may have led to the debtor issue
- Personal Assistant Tasks
- Coordinate diary and various attendees diaries
- Manage some expense items on behalf of executives
- Collate reports from defined sources from time-to-time
- Company Secretarial
- Take meeting minutes
- Ensure ASIC compliance
- Attend to share register changes on an ad-hoc basis.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelors degree
- 3+ years of experience as a Paralegal
- Strong writing skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel
