The Opportunity

We are currently looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our Financial lines team in Brisbane working Mondays, Tuesdays & Wednesdays. 

This position offers a unique opportunity to work alongside experienced legal professionals and administrative assistants as part of our Legal Operations Model gaining valuable insights into the legal field. If you are a proactive individual with a passion for litigation, this role is ideal for you.

Key Responsibilities

Working within our Legal Operations Model assisting on tasks such as:

  • Drafting legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, and correspondence.
  • Administrative tasks such as printing, filing, scanning, meeting room management etc.
  • Conducting legal research and gathering relevant information for cases.
  • Assisting with document management, including filing, organisation, and indexing.
  • Liaising with clients, barristers, and court personnel.
  • Preparing and organise materials for court appearances and meetings.
  • Providing administrative support to the legal team as needed.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
What you need
  • Must be able to work Mondays, Tuesdays & Wednesdays with your current uni schedule.
  • Penultimate or Final year of your legal studies.
  • Paralegal experience in a litigation setting will be regarded highly.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Displays proactivity and eagerness to learn. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
