You’ll work for a Senior Associate in Estate Litigation team, which offers expert legal representation across many will dispute matters including, but not limited to, constructive trust claims, capacity issues, complex estate planning matters, estate administration. We listen to our clients’ concerns and build an understanding of their unique situation, so we can achieve the best possible outcome for them.
With empathy, adaptability and initiative, you will be a true champion of our clients by:
- Greeting clients and organising meeting rooms
- Prepare matters for conference and hearing including preparation of court documents, legal documents and general correspondence including but not limited to Family Provision Claims, validity of Wills, including testamentary capacity, undue influence and informal testamentary documents
- Drafting briefs, documents and liaise with Counsel
- Correspond, brief and liaise with specialist practitioners and other experts
- Coordinate specialist legal appointments, compulsory conferences and mediations
- General file and archiving management
- General office administration as required (including telephone calls, mail requirements, photocopying, filing, stationery requirements, office purchases etc.
- Previous experience in a legal administration and/or paralegal role is ideal.
- Previous experience in a wills and estate practice is ideal, but not essential for success.
- Accurate typing skills with intermediate Word & Excel skills.
- Keen eye for detail in your document management and collation skills
- You’ll be a great communicator both verbally and in writing.
- You’ll be naturally empathetic and have a resolute passion for helping people.
- You’ll recognise and value the importance of your role in being the gateway to support our clients.
