Paraplanner - Financial Planning

Sentinel Wealth is a growing Financial Planning practice, and we are getting more new clients than ever before. We are independent and privately owned, have our own AFSL and are a fee-for-service practice.  We have developed the market leading Seantos Process which has been designed to provide a combination of deep emotional financial discovery and rigorous planning.

Our clients come to us to help them make conscious choices about their lives and to align their financial decisions with their life choices. 

An opportunity for an experienced Paraplanner has arisen to be a key part of the New Business Team as well as guiding the evolution of our advice documentation. 

The role:

This position will require the new team member to work with the majority of new clients and their Adviser to manage the process and produce the Advice. 

 Areas of focus include:

• Project management of the client through our unique New Business process and ensure they receive a premium experience
• Working with the Adviser to agree the strategies, then conducting the analysis and planning work required, including cashflow modelling
• Producing high quality, well-written and compliant SoAs on time
• Working with our Implementation manager to hand over once the Advice is presented and agreed
• Working with our General Manager to continuously improve the process, analysis and documentation across the firm, including specific suggestions on updating templates and Advice wording

About you:

The successful applicant will have: 

• Appropriate Diploma or qualifications in Financial Planning
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Paraplanner in a holistic firm
• Up to date and comprehensive knowledge of compliance and advice strategies 
• An eye for process improvement and client experience
• Superior time management and organisational skills
• Attention to and an eye for detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to meet tight deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
• Current experience in Financial Planning software - Xplan Xtools+
