This Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for passionate and dedicated Case Worker to join our team. Through a collaborative approach for services and support, high quality program facilitation you can build capacity and resilience for the people in prison to move forward and lead fulfilling lives. The Parenting Advice and Support Service (PASS) works to reduce rates of recidivism through creating and strengthening positive bonds between fathers in prison and their children. PASS Case Workers support incarcerated fathers to understand the impacts their incarceration has on their children, build healthy parentings skills, and deepen their relationships with their children. Utilising individual case work and group programs to educate, support, and counsel, PASS Case Workers apply a wide range of creative and professional skills to engage with incarcerated fathers and their families.

Key Role Responsibilities
- Deliver strengths-based parenting supports to fathers experiencing incarceration.
- Co-facilitate a range of educational parenting programs and workshops within the prison.
- Co- facilitate a group with Dads and their children while in prison to build connections and support the development of practical parenting skills.
- Maintain a caseload of clients working within the goals of their support plan.
- Build strong and collaborative relationships with relevant stakeholders, including external services and government and community agencies.
- Actively contribute to a positive team culture with a solution focused, client centred approach.
Essential requirements
- Tertiary qualification in human services fields (Social Work, Psychology, Counselling) and demonstrated experience working with people at risk or with complex needs.
- Demonstrated experience of working with First Nations families and communities.
- Demonstrated experience in case management practices and strategies to support vulnerable people.
- Must have a strong understanding of the impacts and behaviours of family and domestic violence.
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of facilitation and/or group work.
- Demonstrated ability to work directly with vulnerable clients who have complex needs and achieve positive and sustainable outcomes.
