One of the many important services Council provides to the community is parking enforcement. We are seeking two Parking and Road Safety Officers, one is a full time role and the other is a part time role working 2 days per week. The role of the Parking and Road Safety Officer is to enforce the Road Safety Act and Regulations to ensure compliance and fair use of parking spaces, whilst also providing guidance to residents, traders and visitors throughout the municipality. You will be assigned an area, working on foot or in a vehicle, and will be issuing parking infringement notices so a current Australian driver’s license is required. Record keeping and note taking is very important in this role, as is the ability to provide great customer service. We’ll provide you with comprehensive training, onboarding and continued support. Skills and experience require to perform the role We’re looking for someone that has excellent organisational and time management skills, is good at making sound observations, taking notes and keeping records, and has experience dealing with customers. You will be required to work during the week and on weekends as part of a rotating roster. We work every day including weekends and our shift times vary from 6.45am to 11.00pm. Progressed candidates will be required to complete a National Police Check, a Working with Children Check and a Pre-employment Medical Check.
