As a Parking Officer, with our Regulatory Services Team, you will play an integral role in our mission to provide safe, legal and available parking to residents and visitors of The Hills Shire. Some of the responsibilities of this role include:
- Investigate complaints, issue of warnings/cautions, penalty notices, for detected offences;
- Investigate, assess, determine and resolve customer service requests, enquiries and complaints in regard to parking matters in a timely customer focused and professional manner;
- Operate license plate recognition vehicle;
- Conduct regular routine parking patrols of car parks, roads and school zones, issue infringement notices;
- Enforce legislative requirements in relation to the Roads & Traffic Regulations relating to on-street parking, footpath obstruction & heavy vehicles;
- Prepare Statement of Facts and briefs of evidence in relation to compliance matters and attend Court as required.
What are we seeking in our newest team member:
- Driver License (Class C) – NSW
- Diploma/ Cert IV (Ranger) in Local Gov or similar discipline; or relevant industry experience.
- Completion of the SEINS training to issue penalty notice
- White Card - General Construction Induction (or willingness to obtain)
- Traffic Controller License (or willingness to obtain)
- First Aid - (HLTAID003) (or willingness to obtain)
- First Aid - CPR (HLTAID001) (or willingness to obtain)
