About the role:
The primary role will include (but be not limited to):
Patrol an assigned route of parking facilities to identify and issue Parking Infringment Notices to vehicles in violation of relevant parking Ordinance and Road Rule legislation.
- Patrol the National Triangle to enforce parking in line with the relevant Ordinance and Road Rule Legislation.
- Perform field observations in respect to occupancy.
- Respond to any reported illegal parking as relayed by the National Capital Authority or Supervisor.
- Attend ACT Magistrates Court hearings and give evidence in relation to parking offences.
- Direct traffic as needed.
- Maintain assigned equipment and supplies such as but not limited to PDA’s, Infringment Printer, LPR Systems, Body Worn Camera’s, PPE and Patrol Vehicles.
- Report any issue with company vehicles.
- Operate on-board and hand-held license plate recognition camera systems and perform minor maintenance on said systems.
- Complete forms and reports as necessary.
- Report abandoned vehicles and hazards encountered in the course of work.
- Assist members of the public with any queries regarding machine use and parking conditions.
- Assist members of the public with any queries regarding National Institutes and their locations.
- Report car park condition, in particular regards to damages, environmental or structural and graffiti.
- Leave any company vehicle or office and toilet facilities used, and clean at the completion of the shift.
- Liaise with the NCA and Australian Federal Police when required.
About you:
- Well-spoken with clear communication skills and the ability to relate to people from all backgrounds.
- Professional and hygienic personal presentation
- Energetic, proactive, and confident with high reliability and punctuality
- A current and Unrestricted Driver’s license.
- Must be an Australian Citizen
- Previous car parking experience in similar roles
