Byron Shire Council is currently seeking an Operator to join our Resource Recovery team at Councils Resource Recovery Centre.

The successful candidate will meet the criteria set out in the Position Description below and importantly will be interested in providing exceptional customer service in Resource Recovery activities and support operations at the Byron Resource Recovery Centre. This role works across all aspects of the Centre including transfer station, plant operation, second-hand shop, and weighbridge. This is a full-time position that entails weekend and weekday shifts on a rostered basis. 

This opportunity offers:

• A permanent, full-time position (38 hours per week) working as part of a rotating roster inclusive of weekends.
• Salary and Conditions will be in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award with an appointment at a salary in the range of $1,116.30 to $1,293.40 per 38-hour week (dependent upon skills and experience)

Location:

This position is based in Myocum at Councils Resource Recovery Centre located approximately 5 kilometres from Mullumbimby, however Council can require you to work from other work sites as required for operational reasons.
