As an experienced administrator you will provide an efficient and effective Parking Enforcement and Administration Service that ensures a safe environment for vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
You will assess parking infringement appeals and ensure decisions are made in accordance with Victorian Government legislation and Regulations, undertaking further research and analysis of appeals where necessary.
You will also be required to:
- Assist in all aspects in the management of Council's resident parking permit scheme and permit renewals
- Prepare correspondence and spreadsheets and reporting on contractor compliance and performance
- Assist in the development and maintenance of computer databases and maintain electronic and paper filing systems.
There are two positions open, one is permanent full time and the other is full time 12 months with an annual salary range of $79,222 - $90,806 per annum + 11% superannuation and a monthly day off arrangement. You are based within our bright, modern and sustainable Tooronga Depot office which is located next to Tooronga Train station and walking distance to Tooronga Village Shopping Centre. We come together at least 3 days a week so we can collaborate in our vibrant office culture.

You are a self-starter who can pick up new systems with ease and use your strong communication skills when preparing written responses to a variety of community members. You have a demonstrated ability to gain cooperation and assistance from colleagues and members of the public, to conduct research and analysis in order to resolve problems. It is an advantage if you have previous experience in parking enforcement, internal review processes and infringement administration as well as knowledge of the relevant Acts, Regulations, Local Laws, Government and Council PoliciesYou will also have:
- A demonstrated ability to deal with personal and sensitive information in a confidential manner
- An ability to pick up and learn new systems quickly and be proficient in the Microsoft Office suite
- Effective negotiation skills with proven experience in advocating on behalf of Council
