This three year Parks and Gardens Apprenticeship is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is looking for career growth and to gain invaluable experience working within the Lilydale Memorial Park!
About the role
As a member of the Parks and Gardens team, the Apprentice will be required to undertake maintenance in horticulture such as, but not limited to:
- Mowing
- Weeding
- Planting
- Litter removal
- Weed Spraying
- Mulching
- Pruning
- Watering
- Irrigation repairs
- Participate in relevant training and skill development as required.
- Co-operate and collaborate with other members of the Parks and Gardens team as required
- Undertake the required schooling/TAFE to a satisfactory level to complete the three year apprenticeship.
- Record daily activities in a work journal.
- Follow Occupational Health and Safety policies in the workplace.

- Ability to plan and prioritise work
- Consistently reliable and punctual
- Machinery operating skills are an added advantage, though not required
- Driver's licence required
- Successful candidates for this role must undergo a police check, Working with Childrens Check and pre-employment medical check, the costs of which will be covered by NextGen Jobs.
