Part-Time Business Development Manager (MICE) - 3 days per week

This position plays a key role in our growth strategy within the MICE Team sector and will be responsible for developing and nurturing client relationships and securing new business opportunities.
Reporting to the Conference Sales Manager you will be responsible for the following:
- Assist in creating and implementing a comprehensive Business Development strategy aligned with the hotel's mission and objectives
- Ensure maximum yield in line with budgetary goals
- Identify, target, and engage new MICE clients, cultivating strong relationships to drive business growth
- Proactively source leads through cold calls, face-to-face sales calls, networking, and events
- Contribute to business growth by setting and executing sales objectives to maximize banquet sales and enhance customer loyalty
- Manage existing and prospective clients through strategic sales calls and presentations
- Liaise with the Conference & Events team and assist with the development of event packages
- Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to make informed strategic decisions
- Drive brand awareness and expand market share through proactive sales initiatives
- Represent the hotel at various functions, trade shows, seminars, and networking events
To succeed in this role you will need:
- Strong sales skills and ability to build rapport with clients
- Excellent communication skills and natural ability to present and influence at all levels
- Enthusiasm, commitment and the motivation to succeed
- Hotel experience highly regarded
- In depth understanding and knowledge of the Adelaide market is an advantage
- Ability to work successfully in an autonomous role
