Part-Time Payroll Specialist

Primary responsibilities of this role:

• Processing fortnightly and monthly payroll for employees within the business
• Be the go to person for all topics relating to payroll, hence the successful incumbent will have solid experience working with award rates and certain employment law topics
• Record and maintain all employee information within software systems whilst adhering to privacy and security guidelines
• Supporting HR in maintenance of files and new contracts for employees as well as other ad hoc HR duties
• Identifying ways to improve the payroll area of the business
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders and work closely with other departments of the business

Essential skills and experience:

• Tertiary degree in Accounting or similar
• 3+ years' experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar
• Exposure to a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of Australian Labour Law
• Experience with ERP and Payroll software and strong IT ability - Microsoft Excel
• Strong high attention to detail
