About the Role and the Clinic:
The Child Development Clinic is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and vibrant part-time receptionist (2-3 days a week) to join our friendly team in a rapidly growing Paediatric practice in Sydney CBD. Reporting to the Head of Practice, this receptionist role requires a candidate who has a positive outlook, prior experience as a receptionist or similar role and outstanding communication skills.
The Child Development Clinic is a leading specialist multidisciplinary Paediatric clinic in Sydney, focusing on the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of children with a range of developmental, mental health and behavioural difficulties. We specialise in the assessment and management of children with ADHD, learning difficulties, behavioural and emotional concerns. Our reception staff support a team of Paediatricians, Psychologists and Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists who all work together to support our patients.
As part of the Reception team, your duties will include:
• Greeting patients on arrival
• Managing appointments and billings
• Addressing/supporting patients’ queries
• Supporting the team’s administration needs including medical letters/reports, patient emails and phone calls, and managing diaries/schedules
• Managing paperless patient records and communication
• Administration support using Medical Software - Blue Chip / Medical Director Clinical
• Collaborating with the team on innovations to further improve practice efficiency and growth to optimally support our patients
Essential Criteria:
• Experience in a reception role or a similar customer service role
• Strong customer service skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent attention to detail and efficiency
• Computer proficient in Outlook and Word
• Strong work ethic and willingness to go above and beyond
• Excellent problem-solving skills
Desirable Criteria
• Experience with medical practice software: Bluechip / Medical Director
• Experience in a family/child-focused practice
