Part- Time Registered Nurse

Residency by Dillons is a boutique family run aged care facility located in the heart of Tin Can Bay. Our home provides residents with equal access to care in a supportive and friendly environment. We are currently seeking a Part Time and Casual Registered Nurses to join our friendly team, offering sponsorship opportunities to eligible applicants. Sponsored employees will need to work in a Full Time capacity as per visa requirements. 

This opportunity will allow you to demonstrate your clinical skills within an organisation that values collaborative team work in a family focused environment to provide the best care for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, coordinate and monitor the individual needs and the provision of appropriate care to meet individual requirements of all residents.
• Provide timely nursing interventions to ensure that the optimum level of health status is achieved by all residents.
• Make appropriate referral of particular aspects of needs to senior staff or seeks assistance with more complex assessments.
• Contribute to the development of individual care plans in consultation with residents, relatives and other support staff.
• Respect the rights of each resident to make informed choices about their health care requirements and residency.
• Maintain appropriate clinical records in accordance with legislative requirements and the policies of the Facility.
• Ensure that all practices and utilization of goods and equipment is consistent with safety requirements.
• Work in accordance with the Code of Ethics for Nurses and regulations as required by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.

Essential Requirements:

• Current AHPRA Nursing registration
• Ability to lead a team on shift
• Demonstrated ability to operate independently and professionally
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Current Criminal Record Check
• Evidence of right to work in Australia
• Demonstrated genuine desire to provision of care to frail and aged people
• Knowledge and understanding of AN-ACC assessments will be highly regarded
• Ability to effectively communicate in written and oral English
