The Role
Based in our Malvern showroom and reporting to the Business Manager, this permanent Part Time role will primarily be working 60 hours per fortnight.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assist customers to select appropriate lighting to suit their needs by providing professional service that is knowledgeable and courteous, friendly and efficient.
- Apply knowledge of interior/lighting design to interpret customers residential or business premises plans and offer appropriate solutions in a professional manner.
- Apply knowledge of technical issues to ensure appropriate recommendations are made to facilitate efficient and successful installations.
- Prepare lighting plans and quotations.
- Develop a network of Lighting Design lead generating relationships with interior designers, developers, and associated businesses.
- Develop, build and maintain lasting relationships with local electricians and builders.
- Continuously build own product knowledge to be able to recommend appropriate solutions.
- Maintain high standards of product presentation and housekeeping in the showroom.
- Ensure appropriate safety and compliance standards are met.
- Complete any other duties that may reasonably be required from time to time.
About You
- Experience or knowledge in interiors or lighting design preferred.
- The ability to read and interpret house plans and create innovative lighting solutions ideal.
- A strong customer service focus, providing a personalised service.
- Self-motivation to achieve personal goals, key performance indicators and business goals.
- Effective relationship building skills, able to establish rapport, maintain contacts and provide expert information and advice.
- The ability to work well in a team environment and support the team towards a common goal.
