About the opportunity
The University of Tasmania is dedicated to expanding the number and diversity of domestic and international Partnerships and learning abroad opportunities, developing mutually beneficial partnerships that support our teaching and research mission.
The Partnerships & Projects Officer in the Partnerships & Learning Abroad Team will identify and coordinate partnerships that are strategically aligned with the university's profile. The Partnerships and Projects Officer will act as a dedicated relationship manager for specific partnership areas, including articulation, pathway and transnational education partnerships.
The Partnerships and Projects Officer will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to support the partnership lifecycle including due diligence, contracting, program delivery and governance. The Partnerships and Projects Officer will also develop and maintain operational and administrative processes, administer cyclic reviews of partnerships, and support the suite of Partnerships tools, including our Stakeholder Management System.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the higher education sector. They will possess excellent organisational, communication, and relationship-building skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
What you’ll do:
- Provide high level relationship management to partners, coordinating our international and domestic partnerships to best support our students, teaching and research agendas.
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders including international student recruitment, admissions, marketing and our academic units, acting as the main point of contact for information and guidance on partnership procedure, policies and regulations.
- Support the lifecycle of partnerships including desktop due diligence, contracting, program delivery, cyclic reviews and governance
- Development and maintenance of operational and administrative processes, procedures, and manual for partnerships administration.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and University policies.
What we’re looking for:
- A University degree, or a combination of pre-tertiary education and direct relevant work experience, with understanding of higher education standards and frameworks.
- High level verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to develop, recommend, implement, and review policies and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and as an active team member to innovatively achieve team objectives within a defined strategic framework.
- The ability to develop and manage relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Have attention to detail and a good work ethic with well-developed project management and planning skills - ability to lead and manage projects from development to implementation.
Salary details
Appointment to this role will be at HEO 6 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $110,273 comprising base salary within the range of $86,918 to $94,250 plus 17% superannuation.
