Your new company
Your new company is a leading supplier of the world's finest heavy-duty trucks, diesel and gas engines, and power systems. They operate in the most dynamic markets, including on-highway and various off-highway industries, such as mining, power generation, construction and industrial, rail, marine, oil and gas, agriculture, and defence.
Your new role
You will be responsible for carrying out customer service advisory functions for customers and building relationships to meet targets. You will provide aftersales (parts interpreting) support to Darwin Parts, Service & Sales Departments and increase all parts sales which will involve proactively liaising with customers.
What you'll need to succeed
- Completion or in the process of completing a Certificate in Parts Interpreting (desirable) or equivalent industry training and/or experience.
- Basic knowledge of the principles of operation of internal combustion engines (essential) and automatic transmissions (preferred).
- Sound knowledge of MTU, Detroit Diesel, Allison and other associated products sold.
- Competent computer skills including Microsoft Office programs (Outlook/Word/Excel)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a parts interpreting or related industry role.
- Ability to read and interpret catalogues, bulletins and support literature.
- Understanding of parts warehousing principles.
