Banana Shire is situated in Central Queensland, Australia located 120 km west of the growing industrial city and port of Gladstone - and an easy drive to the city of Rockhampton. Our population is approximately 15,000 people spread over 28,577 square kilometres. Major industries in the area include Coal Mining, Power Generation, Beef Production, dryland cropping and irrigation such as lucerne and cotton.
Council currently has an opportunity for an enthusiastic person to join our Biloela Workshop team. Working within the Workshop Team and assisting with the procurement of mechanical parts, including ordering and control of stock in accordance with financial practices.
You will have the following qualifications:
- C Class Drivers Licence
You will be highly regarded if you have
- Certificate III in Business Administration
Duties include:
- Input data into a variety of software systems
- Identify parts and components as required by Workshop staff
- Prepare Creditor Invoices paperwork for processing by the Accounts Payable team
- Maintain the appearance of the Workshop, particularly with parts and stock
- Assist with arranging warranty work and recalls with relevant companies
