ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE:
We have a permanent part-time position for an experienced Pastoral Care Officer. The primary purpose of the role is to provide excellent pastoral and spiritual care for patients, families and staff. You will be part of a supportive Pastoral and Spiritual Services team which complements and enriches clinical practice within the Mater Hospital.

ABOUT YOU:
You will have a background and qualifications in Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE 1) as well as studies in theology, pastoral counselling, psychology or chaplaincy.
You must also have:
Understanding of clinical pastoral issues and employment experience in a healthcare setting
Understanding of the Catholic tradition, the sacraments and liturgical life of the Catholic Church
Understanding and commitment to the Catholic ethos of the organisation
Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the mission and values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries (MAM), St Vincent's Health Australia (SVHA) and Catholic Health Australia Code of Ethical Standards
Spiritual maturity and ability to appreciate differing value systems, beliefs and practices
Availability to work weekdays and weekends including occasional on-call responsibilities
