W Brisbane located at 81 North Quay, Brisbane City is hiring a Chef de Partie - Pastry. Reporting to the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for the production of high quality and creative pastry items for all our venues including Restaurant, Banquets, Bars and High Tea. You will have an incredible attention to detail and a creative flair that makes people stop and go WOW! You will also be responsible for, but no limited to;
- Overseeing the pastry function and team within a 5 star Luxury hotel
- Managing a high performing team to deliver high quality products
- Creating memorable and personalised experiences for our guests
- Leading, motivating and having fun with the Pastry Team
- Ensuring Food Safety & Hygiene procedures are followed
- Mentoring, training and supervising junior chefs, including apprentices and interns
- Deliver memorable dishes with a strong emphasis on quality, consistency and presentation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt and work well under pressure
