Our team at Olympian Products Pty Ltd T/A Olympian Specialty Products are looking for a full time qualified Pastry Cook to join our team.
Candidate should have Certificate IV in Hospitality and 2 years of previous experience in a pastry kitchen.
Salary: $70,000-$75,000
As a Pastry cook within our team you will be responsible for preparing baked goods and specialty pastries to the very highest standard of quality and presentation. Your flair and creativity will be fully utilised within this multioutlet environment. As the Pastry Chef you will be responsible for the smooth running of the pastry section.
Responsibilities include:
Baking a wide range of quality products including pastries, cakes, bread and biscuits
Kneading, maturing, cutting, moulding, mixing and shaping dough and pastry goods
Preparing pastry fillings
Ensuring quality of raw materials and correct
weighing of ingredients Monitoring Recipe
preparation and dough mixing
Monitoring Oven temperatures and following baking procedures
Checking the cleanliness of equipment and work preparation areas to ensure compliance with O H & S regulations
Must have an understanding of HACCP and Food Safety
A strong work ethic and communication skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Able to maintain high and consistent standards
Reliable and energetic with a passion for patisserie
Stock maintenance & ordering
Keeping the kitchen clean and tidy
