THE COMPANY
LK Hospitality, the Team behind Omnia Bistro and Bar, Yugen Tea Bar and Yugen Dining are looking for the newest addition to our growing Pastry Chef team. This exciting opportunity will be in the Capitol Grand building on the iconic Chapel Street, truly unlike any venue in Melbourne.
We will be celebrating the beauty of hand-crafted patisserie, a bespoke afternoon tea and patisserie range during the day and transitioning to unique and modern dessert offering in the evening.
THE ROLE
We are seeking a full time Head Chef to join our team with previous experience in a similar establishment. This is a rare opportunity to work closely with our Executive Pastry Chef and further your career.
THE MUST HAVES
You will have Junior Sous Chef experience in a similar venue, with a keen attitude to better utilise your contemporary culinary skills and management capabilities. You will be a driven and passionate Pastry Chef with at least 5 years’ experience in the role and be looking to take on your next challenge! You will hold a trade qualification, be task driven and familiar working in a fast-paced environment.
In addition you have:

• Excellent communication, delegation and leadership skills
• Ability to work well within a team and take direction
• In-depth understanding of Food Safety & Hygiene Practices
• Strong communication skills
• Creativity around menu development and food presentation
• A naturally positive demeanour
• High standards and expectations within the kitchen
