Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital, Palmerston Rd, Hornsby NSW 2077What you'll be doingInterviewing the patient/carer and explain the options of all public and private financial choices to enable the patient/person responsible to make an informed financial decision before signing the appropriate election forms. Working in partnership with admission staff and provide support to other admission/clerical areas with the management of complex classification cases. The role provides support to the Manager Finance and Performance in staff training and implementing strategies that maximise revenue.People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Describe how you have demonstrated excellent communication skills and the ability to deal confidently and courteously with people at all levels.
- Describe how you have demonstrated extensive knowledge of patient financial classifications and private health insurance in public hospitals and hospital admissions processes and software platforms.
- Describe your experience in delivering in-service sessions.
- Describe your experience in database software and Microsoft Office applications, as well as strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Describe and give examples of your capacity to work under minimal supervision and to undertake a diverse range of tasks in a high volume work environment.
