About the facility
The Short Stay Service, located on Heath Wing Level 4 and is a 16 bed unit catering for surgical patients who need to remain in hospital for up to 48 hours. The ward admits post-operative patients from all surgical specialties including but not limited to ENT, General Surgery, Gynaecology, Plastic Surgery, Orthopaedic, Ophthalmology, Vascular and Urology. The service has a high patient turnover and well developed processes to support all members of the team.
About the role
As the Patient Services Assistant you will be able to demonstrate a team focused approach to patient flow and other duties as required to achieve the best possible customer service outcome to all patients and other Barwon Health departments. Experience in the health care sector, ability to work with minimal supervision, excellent verbal and written communication skills and knowledge of the Barwon Health ‘No Lift’ policy and Movait are desirable but not essential.
