The Opportunity
The Theatre Department at John Flynn Private Hospital has a fantastic opportunity for Patient Services Assistants to join our vibrant, friendly team.
As a Patient Services Assistant your role will involve, but is not limited to:
- Working closely with the operating theatre nursing staff with preparing and cleaning of scopes required in the operating theatres
- Support Scrub/Scout staff in the day-to-day operations with theatre set up, including preparing the equipment and consumables required for cases
- Cleaning and restocking of theatres as needed
Full training will be provided to the successful applicants to achieve the requirements of this position. This is a great opportunity for someone who is keen to learn and grow within a supportive Operating Theatre team.
About You
In order to excel in this role, you should be a positive and collaborative team player with a keen eye for detail and strong interpersonal skills.
You will also have:
- Certificate III in Health Services is essential
- Experience within a clinical hospital setting is ideal for this role
- Current expertise of working with endoscopes cleaning and processing will
- The position will also involve learning theatre set ups for scrub/scout and inventory management.
- The role also involves close collaboration with Theatres operating room nurses to support endoscopic procedures and surgical setups using surgical preference cards.
- For the right candidates, we offer on-site training to ensure success in the position.
Remuneration
A base hourly rate ranging from $28.84 - $31.05 + superannuation, based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (QLD Support Services Level 2)
