The Opportunity

The Theatre Department at John Flynn Private Hospital has a fantastic opportunity for Patient Services Assistants to join our vibrant, friendly team.

As a Patient Services Assistant your role will involve, but is not limited to:

• Working closely with the operating theatre nursing staff with preparing and cleaning of scopes required in the operating theatres
• Support Scrub/Scout staff in the day-to-day operations with theatre set up, including preparing the equipment and consumables required for cases
• Cleaning and restocking of theatres as needed

Full training will be provided to the successful applicants to achieve the requirements of this position. This is a great opportunity for someone who is keen to learn and grow within a supportive Operating Theatre team.

About You

In order to excel in this role, you should be a positive and collaborative team player with a keen eye for detail and strong interpersonal skills.

You will also have:

• Certificate III in Health Services is essential
• Experience within a clinical hospital setting is ideal for this role
• Current expertise of working with endoscopes cleaning and processing will
• The position will also involve learning theatre set ups for scrub/scout and inventory management. 
• The role also involves close collaboration with Theatres operating room nurses to support endoscopic procedures and surgical setups using surgical preference cards.
• For the right candidates, we offer on-site training to ensure success in the position.

Remuneration

A base hourly rate ranging from $28.84 - $31.05 + superannuation, based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (QLD Support Services Level 2)

Requirements

• Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
• According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
