u&u have partnered with a reputable Australian owned corporate organisation, to recruit the newly created position of Payroll & Accounts Officer. Operating in Brisbane for over 120 years, our client is a stable business, with a warm and friendly culture.
The Role
The Payroll & Accounts Officer position is responsible for ownership of the accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and month end activities for the organisation.
Working closely with the Finance Manager, this is an ideal for an experienced financial professional to transition from a corporate city based role, into a professional environment, closer to home, with parking on site.
Key responsibilities include;
- Management of the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions;
- Management of the weekly payroll function;
- Management of all supplier and member queries;
- Managing and developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, suppliers and clients;
- Bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations and employee expense management;
- Responsible for ensuring adherence to administration and financial policies and procedures; and
- Assist in the audit preparation and enquiries.
Required Skillset
This role is well suited to an experienced transactional finance and payroll professional who is customer-centric, attentive, detail oriented and has strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Recent demonstrated experience in a similar role, responsible for payables, receivables and payroll, within a professional environment is critical to be successful in this role, and relevant accounting or bookkeeping qualifications are beneficial.

- Working alongside the Finance Manager and CEO;

- Customer centric attitude critical; and
- $70,000 - $80,000 + super.
