Reporting direct to the CFO, this is a permanent, full time position that offers diversity, great working conditions, interesting work, and ongoing development. This role is based in our Welshpool, head office with 1 direct report.
CAPS are a national Australian business that has been operating over 40+ years, with 10 branches nationally. We are Australia's leading independent provider of Compressed Air and Power Generation where we work with premium branded equipment, across a range of industries.
This role is primarily accountable for the lead processing of both salaried and fortnightly payrolls for approximately 180 team members. In this role you are the primary point of contact for payroll related queries.
Additionally, this role offers diversity through accountability for finance and accounting related administrative tasks.
Some of the specifics:
- Processing salaries and standard allowances, Change of Conditions, terminations and incentive payments. Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and CAPS Enterprise Bargaining Agreements.
- Managing leave entitlement, deductions, Superannuation and similar through relevant third parties.
- Provide additional Finance Support and Administrative duties including, but not limited to, the management of insurance and Work Cover claims nationally.
- Administration of CAPS national fleet of vehicles, along with other varied administrative focused tasks which support the Finance and Accounting teams.
- Supervision of the Head Office reception function of the business.
You:
- Previous demonstrated experience in a similar role that leads the payroll function for a mid sized team.
- You will have proven experience maintaining confidentiality in respect to privacy legislation, and employee communications.
- You will be a team player, who is professional and accurate in payroll processing.
- Demonstrate a great customer service approach to assist and support our employee group.
- You will have a high attention to detail and pride yourself on doing a great job.
- Excellent computer skills. CAPS operate PRONTO and experience with this system is desirable, however not essential.
