ABOUT THE POSITION
We are seeking an experienced payroll professional who can execute the end-to-end payroll process.
This is a full-time, permanent role.
The successful candidate must have the ability to execute work with a high level of accuracy and in compliance awards and legislation.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accurate and timely delivery of end-to-end payroll processing for monthly and ad-hoc payroll activities, including payroll inputs, processing, and review prior to authorisation.
- Maintain confidential information and employee data to ensure it is accurate and reliable.
- Prepare payroll journals and provision of information for audits.
- Provide a help desk service for all employee payroll queries, ensuring a timely response and resolution.
- Provide timely and accurate delivery of reports and payroll details to stakeholders.
- Stay well-informed of legislative and statutory requirements and changes as they occur.
- Partnership with HR and Finance teams to ensure smooth payroll processing.
- Assist in payroll improvement projects
- Assist with testing for resolution of operational system issues and implementation of payroll changes for new business or statutory requirements
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar role
- Experience with delivering payroll solutions in line with the NES , relevant awards, enterprise agreements and employment contracts.
- Certificate IV in Payroll Administration, Financial Services, or related field.
- Strong understanding of employment and tax obligations (including SG, PAYG and Payroll Tax) and industrial instruments, awards, leave and NES in relations to payroll.
- Advanced skills in MS Office (Excel & Word) and reporting capability.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS
- Definitiv Payroll software and SuccessFactors experience.
- Experience working in the resources sector.
