Managing the end to end payroll, you will ensure deadlines are hit and payrolls are accurate and in line with compliance - you will ensure the smooth running of the organisation's fortnightly payroll in an accurate and timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take a lead role in projects to develop the payroll processes and database, identifying improvements and implementing any resultant changes
- Coordination and management of entire payroll function
- Ensure payments comply with the relevant Enterprise Agreements
- Carry out month-end and year-end processes essential for statutory and other returns
- In conjunction with the Finance teams and HR, plan the best way to implement legislative changes and ensure that standard procedures are developed to support any such changes
- Process improvements and implementations
- Internal and external stakeholder management
- Deliver payroll services to maximise cost effectiveness in line with business needs
- Strong systems knowledge
- Advanced numeracy skills along with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to analyse and present data in report form
- High accuracy and strong attention to detail
- Ability to interpret Enterprise Agreements and Modern Awards (FMCG experience preferred)
- Cross-functional collaboration with other departments
- Excellent knowledge of payroll legislation
