The Payroll Analyst position will analyse and interpret high-volume payroll data to draw conclusions regarding current systems and processes. This role will require consistent communication and reporting to management to provide insight on process refinements and opportunities to maximise operational success.

Description
When performing this role, the Payroll Analyst must partake in the;
- Manual testing of payroll system with appropriate documentation of the process.
- Analysis of historical payroll data to identify trends and correct any errors found.
- Identification of opportunities to improve the overall payroll system and process.
- Execution of necessary test plans and scenarios for comprehensive functional and technical testing. The Payroll Analyst may also be required to conduct any re-testing where necessary.
- Assisting the payroll team in BAU processing of any payroll tasks including, processing new starters, variations, leave applications and terminations.
- Provide an outstanding level of customer service in response to any payroll related queries.
Profile
The successful Payroll Analyst Candidate must demonstrate;
- An exceptional understanding and extensive experience with the Payroll System Preceda and software, Excel to interpret, manipulate and analyse large volumes of Payroll data.
- Specific experience in parallel payroll testing and processing with a focus on identifying key areas of improvement and efficiency.
- Strong analytically skills to locate errors, analyse trends and identify opportunities within the Payroll System, Preceda.
- Thorough experience across a wide range of Awards, EBA's, pay rules and entitlements.
- A complex understanding of a range of state & industry legislation and Modern Awards across Australia.
