Job description

Marist180 is a not-for-profit organisation committed to creating positive change for vulnerable young people and their families. Marist180 is now seeking applications from experienced and committed Payroll Coordinator Professionals
The duties will include but not limited to:

  • Working with the Senior HR Manager to advise divisional, functional and line management in the provision of recommendations and solutions in line with pay and compensation business needs.
  • Using knowledge of Payroll and HRIS systems to provide database analysis and solutions to business issues.
  • Pay and compensation recommendations and solutions will include:
  • Process fortnightly payroll.
  • Coordinate with administrative teams to ensure seamless integrations of payroll data with overall HR processes.
  • Checking and processing employee timesheet, taking into account regulatory requirements and organisational needs.
  • Provision of reports supporting business initiatives.
  • Check leaves and timesheets, ensuring accurate recording and processing in payroll systems.
  • Interpret employment contracts, organisational policies and procedures, and relevant legislation to ensure payroll adherence to Fair Work, National Employment Standards and Awards.
  • Oversight and coordination of annual projects including salary and performance reviews.
  • Assisting in the design and implementation of enhancements to Marist180 pay and procedures.
  • Supporting accurate preparation of workers compensation returns and payroll tax return.
  • Acting as the primary contact for all matters relating to pay and compensation.
  • Review fortnightly timesheets and ensure employees have correctly completed entries.
  • Ensure payroll files are processed within the required timeframe.
  • Calculation and payment of termination/redundancy payments, salary increases etc.
  • Liaising with employees and management on payroll related queries and liaising with external auditors as required.
  • Ensure year end reconciliations on Payroll tax, Superannuation, PAYG and LSL are accurately completed.
  • Carefully oversee data input, guaranteeing timely and accurate processing in the payroll system.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, including the setup of payroll, introduction to company policies, and coordination with relevant departments.
Desired Skills and Experience
Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualification in Business or Human Resources.
Working requirements
  • Working with Children's Check.
  • Clear National Criminal History Check.
  • Unrestricted NSW Drivers Licence.
  • Eligibility to work in Australia.
Immediate availability is preferred.
