Randstad is pleased to be partnering with our client who are a respected business within the financial services sector who are going through a period of large-scale change including a system integration project. Joining a payroll team of 4 you will report into the Payroll Manager you will act as the project lead for their upcoming various pieces of system integration project work.
This role will commence in late January 2024.

Reporting into the Payroll Manager, your key duties will include:
- Lead end-to-end integration project work ensuring timely delivery to project deadlines
- Identify opportunities for improvement
- Oversee payroll compliance with legislative and internal requirements, ensuring accuracy and currency of data
- Manage various payroll components, including online timecards, additional hours, mileage claims, superannuation changes, deductions, allowances, off-cycle pay, and paid parental leave payments
- Champion and lead process improvement initiatives for P&C Operations by collaborating with the P&C Digital and Optimisation team
- Proactively identify issues, gaps, and improvement opportunities within Payroll and HR processes and recommend solutions aligned with department and organisational strategies
- Recommend changes to payroll system functionality to meet evolving business requirements
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert on Payroll-related system improvements
- Partner with Corporate Platforms and the P&C Digital & Improvement Lead to test functionality upgrades and enhancements and support their implementation
- Facilitate secured access to the system for approved leaders and employees
- Fulfil reporting obligations, including end-of-month, end-of-year, budgetary, FBT collation, and interactions with external agencies
- Experience in a similar role working for a medium to large organisation
- Extensive experience working with large systems - experience with either Chris21 / iChris, Oracle or Aurion is essential
- Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
- Solid stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to develop positive working relationships with people at all levels
