The Leaders
You’ll directly report into an experienced yet down-to-earth Head of People & Culture and form part of a tight-knit and collaborative P&C team. Together, you will work to ensure the smooth and accurate management of all payroll operations, while also working closely with the finance team on other key aspects including superannuation lodgment & payroll tax.
The Opportunity
A hands-on role, the Payroll Manager will have full responsibility over current and future payroll operations.
This will include the following:
- Manage all employee and payroll data;
- Collate and share payroll data to the third party processing provider for fortnightly pay runs;
- Effectively manage the relationship with the third party provider;
- Execute payroll tax and superannuation lodgment;
- Compile weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payroll reports to senior management;
- Identify & resolve any employee payroll queries & discrepancies;
- Look for ways to improve, streamline, and enhance, existing processes.
This role is suited to a Payroll Team Lead/Supervisor or an earlier-stage Payroll Manager who is ambitious and keen to take on the challenge of leading a function within a growing organisation.
What will see you seamlessly fit into this role is a strong core payroll skillset, including an ability to manage processing while also overseeing more complex functions in payroll tax and super lodgment.
Underpinning this is a willingness and eagerness to be ‘on-the-tools’, and immerse yourself in the day-to-day of payroll. You will also enjoy be business-facing, and be consultative and proactive in actioning any employee payroll queries.
You will have a long-term vision and be able to effectively identify improvement and transformation opportunities that align with how the business is growing.
Experience working within the energy sector is advantageous but not a must!
The Process
The process will see you meet with a Levyl consultant, followed by what we anticipate being two-to-three rounds of interviews with the client which will include a meeting with the Head of P&C as well as business stakeholders.
