Job Description: We are looking for a reliable and experienced Administrator to provide administrative support to our civil construction and plant hire operations. In this role, you will be responsible for handling a variety of administrative tasks, including payroll processing, onboarding, general office duties, and accounts payable functions. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in payroll administration and general office administration, with a strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
Responsibilities:
Process payroll for employees accurately and timely, including calculating hours worked, overtime, allowances and deductions.
First point of contact for all payroll related enquiries.
Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with payroll regulations and company policies.
Onboarding personnel.
Assist with general office administration tasks, including answering phones, and managing office supplies.
Assist accounts payable functions, including invoice processing, reconciliations, and vendor communications.
Assist with month-end financial reporting and other accounting tasks as needed.
Coordinate with project managers and supervisors to support day-to-day operations and administrative needs.
Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders, resolving inquiries and issues in a timely manner.
Requirements:
Previous experience in payroll administration and general office administration, preferably in the construction industry.
Knowledge of payroll regulations and processes, with experience using payroll software and systems.
Ability to interpret relevant award & Enterprise Agreement.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with experience using accounting software (e.g. Xero) preferred.
Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
