The Darwin Turf Club hosts this spectacular event at the Fannie Bay racecourse, surrounded by lush tropical scenery.
We're now looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to join our dynamic team on a part-time basis. (3 Days, Monday-Wednesday).
Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the Payroll Officer is responsible for managing all aspects of the weekly payroll, including liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process end-to-end weekly payroll accurately and in a timely manner.
- Process end-to-end weekly stakes payments.
- Manage monthly Superannuation processing.
- Reconcile payroll, leave accruals, and more.
- Utilize software systems such as XERO, Employment Hero, & SNS.
- Process monthly Payroll Tax.
- Manage Workers’ Compensation wage reimbursements.
- Interpret awards & contracts.
- Prepare reports for auditors.
- Assist with general accounting functions.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Strong data entry skills.
- Previous end-to-end payroll experience.
- Knowledge of modern award interpretation.
Key Personal Attributes:
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Good knowledge of NT government legislation, ATO legislation & modern awards.
