Form of workThe Nawarddeken Academy offers a unique model of bi-cultural, community-driven education in remote Indigenous communities in west Arnhem Land.
Based in the Warddeken Indigenous Protected Area (IPA), the Nawarddeken Academy operates three registered independent schools at Kabulwarnamyo (registered in early 2019), Manmoyi and Mamardawerre (registered in late 2021).
The successful applicant will need to be available on Thursdays and be able to successfully apply for a Working With Children Card (OCHRE).
This position is based in our Darwin office.
Key responsibilities include:
- Prepare and process fortnightly payroll using MYOB
- Prepare payroll reports
- Reconcile Salary packaging and payroll accounts
- Monitor staff annual leave entitlements and assist with end of year leave loading calculations
- Process annual pay increases and assist with staff letters.
- Other payroll related duties from time to time
- Process daily bank feeds in MYOB
- Check the accounts email for supplier invoices and information daily
- Reconcile the Company Debit Card (monthly)
- Process reimbursements as required
- Receive, review, and process invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports. (Weekly or Fortnightly)
- Prepare and process payments, including staff reimbursements
- Supplier reconciliations, send remittance advices and resolving payment discrepancies
- Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions and monitor outstanding balances
- Maintain journal, payroll & income registers
- Maintain monthly finance checklist
- Maintain electronic filing system
