Join our dynamic, renowned and growing hospitality group in a newly created Payroll Officer role. Working within a supportive, structured and high performing team environment, utilize your existing payroll or finance work experience and build your payroll career. Conveniently located on the edge of the Melbourne CBD with the flexibility to work from home one day per week.
We are looking for someone who is customer service focused, confident in processing (gained in a payroll or finance role) and problem solving, enjoys following set processes and loves the challenge of meeting structured deadlines. Initially, you will shadow existing payroll team members to process the end-to-end weekly pay runs; progressing to take on the lead role with support from senior team members.
Gain experience with multiple software solutions in a busy team environment. Training and support provided with regular tasks included.
- Responding to queries from our 8000+ workforce and managers on payroll matters
- Setting up new starters and maintaining payroll selections
- Processing weekly pays runs using MicrOpay
- Processing variations, transfers, terminations
- Reporting
- General payroll administration
We will need you too.
- Have strong numeracy and excellent communication skills demonstrated with at least 12 months in a processing role (working in a Finance or Payroll team)
- Understanding of core payroll processes – gained through work experience or studies
- Genuinely love customer service
- Have a high attention to detail
- Be a stickler for following procedures and processes
- Have a genuine desire to be a part of and progress within the payroll team
- Respect the confidentiality of payroll information
