Payroll Officer

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Payroll Officer to join our team on a full-time basis, with potential for flexible working arrangements after a 6-month trial period. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll management and experience with Access Micropay software. This role will involve working closely with the accounting and legal teams, and will require a high level of attention to detail and accuracy. They are looking for a candidate to take full ownership of the Payroll, and to assist the business with developing their processes.
Responsibilities

• Process payroll using Access Micropay software, including superannuation and other related requirements
• Support other tasks as instructed by the supervisor
• Fortnightly Payroll - 100 employees
• Enter disbursements in MYOB and office costing software, APS
• Provide daily entries as required
• Payroll queries and manual amendments
• Act as cover for the supervisor during their absence, and vice versa
• Potentially liaise with external contractors for payroll coverage as needed
• Some Finance tasks such as processing invoices, reconcilaitons

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within an accounting firm or similar
• Proficiency in Access Micropay software or MYOB
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Flexibility and adaptability to cover varied tasks within the role
• Openness to potential flexible working arrangements post 6-month trial period

Day-to-day

• Collaborate with accounting and legal teams to ensure accurate payroll processing
• Act as cover for the supervisor when necessary
• Liaise with external contractors for payroll coverage as needed
