This part time Payroll Officer position will be responsible for enhancing our systems, controls, and processes through strategic projects to ensure that Starlight meets all payroll compliance requirements. Important for the role:
- Focus on strategic Payroll projects and compliance.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and drive change.
- Effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Partner with the People & Culture team to implement payroll initiatives
- Enhance payroll reporting capabilities across the organisation.
- Manage FBT (Fringe Benefits Tax) reporting requirements.
- Assist with the annual year-end audit.
- Ensure compliance with all legislative requirements.
- Regularly review, update and document payroll processes.
- Assist with processing monthly and fortnightly pay when required.
- Payroll experience ideally with exposure to projects in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of payroll legislation, taxation, and superannuation.
- Previous experience with fringe benefit and STP2 reporting.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain strict confidence.
- Analytical skills with a continuous improvement focus.
