Payroll Support Officer required for an immediate start

Your new role
As the Payroll Support Officer, you will be responsible for assisting in the processing of payroll and the processing function while ensuring payroll compliance.
Key responsibilities -
Compliance in rostering at processing stage
Answering payroll enquiries and providing timely resolution to any enquiries from internal and external stakeholders
Maintaining annual leave, sick leave, and overtime reports
Assist with managing a high-volume casual employee work force administration
Maintaining accurate employee data, and currency of all registers associated with employee information
Assist with the preparation, processing, and payment of the company's 460 personnel on a fortnightly basis if required
Providing technical advice with respect to employment regulations
Analysis and production of data and reports
Extensive knowledge and interpretation of multiple awards
Using Pronto and Human Force
Strong Microsoft Office skills
Maintain files in accordance with audit requirements
Assist with the provision of monthly payroll reports
Monitor WH&S to ensure staff safety and a safe workplace
Undertake other duties to ensure compliance in personal files
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, it is crucial to possess speed and accuracy in data entry, as these are fundamental to the efficient handling of information. A strong understanding of EBA/AWARDS is essential, as this knowledge will be integral to the job. Proficiency in Excel is also required, as it is a powerful tool for data analysis and management. Being fully capable and proficient in all areas of payroll and having the confidence to operate in a standalone environment is a must. Computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications are necessary for various tasks. A willingness to work in a cross-cultural environment is important, as it fosters diversity and inclusivity. Lastly, the ability to work constructively in a team environment is vital, as teamwork often leads to better outcomes and a more dynamic workplace.
