About the Role

Become a part of our team as a Payroll Systems Testing Analyst, where you'll be essential in ensuring the accuracy, functionality, and efficiency of Payroll Systems. Your tasks include analysing payroll and HRIS software, creating test cases, conducting tests, and implementing solutions to meet organisational requirements and comply with regulatory standards.

In this role, you'll work closely with payroll administrators, software developers, and stakeholders to identify and resolve issues, optimise system performance, and enhance the overall payroll processing experience. It's a collaborative and crucial role where attention to detail and a methodical approach make a great impact.  This role would ideally suit a payroll professional who has a passion for systems, system maintenance and process improvement.
 

This is a permanent full-time position.

This role will report to the Payroll Manager and is located at Southbank, Victoria.

We are a flexible and truly hybrid workplace.

What you will deliver  

  • Develop test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on payroll and HRIS system requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Execute test cases to evaluate the functionality, accuracy, and performance of Payroll Systems across various scenarios and configurations.
  • Identify, document, and prioritise defects, anomalies, and inconsistencies in payroll and HRIS software, ensuring thorough and accurate reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including payroll team, People Team, software technicians, systems support teams, to track and resolve issues and implement enhancements.
  • Maintain test environments, testing tools, and testing documentation to support ongoing testing activities and facilitate knowledge sharing.

 What we like about you  

  • Proven experience in software testing, quality assurance, with strong payroll knowledge, preferably in a regulated environment.
  • Strong understanding industrial and governing employment laws.
  • Proficiency in testing methodologies, test automation tools, and defect tracking systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex requirements, identify dependencies, and assess risk factors.
  • Familiarity with Payroll Systems, tax regulations, and compliance standards
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy, precision, and thoroughness in testing procedures and documentation.
