We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Payroll Team Leader to join our clients growing team.
The Payroll Team Leader will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of payroll processing and leading a team of payroll specialists to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company policies and regulations.Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a highly-trained, motivated and efficient team with a strong customer focus
- Administer the fortnightly payroll functions to ensure an accurate and timely pay of all staff
- Guide the Payroll Team in award interpretations, salary sacrifice and superannuation assistance ensuring a professional customer service is provided to internal and external customers.
- Investigate complex pay anomalies, conduct calculations for special work agreements and instigate problem resolutions to meet business payroll needs.
- In collaborations with the HR Business Systems team, maintain systems accordingly, ensuring relevant legislation and policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Ensure year end processing is managed effectively.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in payroll processing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, procedures
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
