About the Role:
As a key leadership position the Peer Practice Lead will be responsible for the successful program coordination and operation of Safe Haven. Alongside the Clinical Lead, Northern Adelaide Head to Health the Peer Practice Lead will also support the program coordination and operation of the Northern Adelaide Head to Health centre. The Peer Practice Lead utilises lived experience and recovery orientated Mental Health expertise to ensure program outcomes are achieved. The role provides lived experience coordination and oversight, reflective practice supervision and delivery of services.
Experience Requirements:
Minimum 2 years experience in program and service delivery leadership
Experience in successfully leading/coordinating a team of staff and working as a member of a multi-disciplinary team with the ability to inspire and facilitate team commitment and cooperation
Significant experience working in a Peer Practitioner position
Knowledge and experience in providing lived experience practice supervision and mentoring to Peer Practitioners in order to ensure safe and purposeful sharing, use of lived experience, role modelling coping strategies, conflict resolution, professional and personal boundary setting, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
Has experienced Mental Health challenges and distress and has demonstrable experience of recovery.
Qualification and Other Requirements:
Current or willing to obtain a Working with Children's Check (WWCC)
Knowledge and experience in using the Microsoft suite of software and databases.
Certificate IV in Peer Work or equivalent qualification with demonstrated experience in a lived experience, Peer Practitioner or Peer Support Worker role
Completion of Peer Supervision training through the Lived Experience Workforce Program will be highly regarded
