Job description

Logan Adult Wellbeing Team are looking for a Peer Worker (Community) to join their team. Provide personalised Peer Support and practical assistance to consumers to inspire hope and the belief that recovery is possible.

About the Role

  • Assist consumers within Adult Mental Health Services, key service providers and non-government organisations to develop a better understanding of the recovery framework.
  • Inspire and support consumers through tailored education, information, referrals and support to learn the skills and knowledge to build resilience for mental and physical healthcare needs and to engage in their community.
  • Act as a positive role model showing professional and caring attitudes and behaviours.
  • Promote recovery orientated activities within an environment that focuses on information and education.
  • Involvement in the collection of consumer and carer feedback as required.
  • Actively promote person-centred care with consumers, carers, families, staff, and community as partners of care.
