The position available is:
- Closed-term full-time ending 30 June 2025 (76 hrs/fortnight)
- Working Monday - Friday
- Based at Gungahlin
- Attractive hourly rates equivalent to SCHCADS Level 3 $36-$38.60/hour + 11% Super + Tax-Free Salary Packaging!
As a Peer Worker with Flourish Australia, your own experience of a mental health issue and recovery will provide a distinct advantage as you mentor and support people.
On a day to day basis, you will:
- Connect with, support, build reciprocity, trust and shared experience with people who access our services.
- Guide and support each person in their recovery and be strengths, ability and possibility focused.
- Ensure that individual support is provided to a person that accesses Flourish Australia services that meet their recovery journey goals and is strengths based and led by the person wherever possible.
- Encourage shared learning experiences, and support skill development at every opportunity through self-directed learning, information and education.

Peer work is a cornerstone of our services with more than half of our workforce having had a lived experience of a mental health issue. - A Certificate IV or above in a relevant field OR a minimum of 2-years full-time experience working in the human services field (as recognised by Flourish Australia).
- A personal lived experience of a mental health issue.
- A current Australian Driver’s Licence.
