Walk alongside people on their mental health recovery journeys and support them to achieve their hopes and dreams!Flourish Australia has an exciting opportunity for a Peer Worker to join our established ACT team!The position available is:Closed-term full-time ending 30 June 2025 (76 hrs/fortnight)Working Monday - FridayBased at GungahlinAttractive hourly rates equivalent to SCHCADS Level 3 $36-$38.60/hour + 11% Super + Tax-Free Salary Packaging!About the OpportunityAs a Peer Worker with Flourish Australia, your own experience of a mental health issue and recovery will provide a distinct advantage as you mentor and support people.On a day to day basis, you will:Connect with, support, build reciprocity, trust and shared experience with people who access our services.Guide and support each person in their recovery and be strengths, ability and possibility focused.Ensure that individual support is provided to a person that accesses Flourish Australia services that meet their recovery journey goals and is strengths based and led by the person wherever possible.Encourage shared learning experiences, and support skill development at every opportunity through self-directed learning, information and education.Flourish Australia is proud to have built one of Australia’s largest peer workforces, a proven, strengths-based approach to mental health recovery. Peer work is a cornerstone of our services with more than half of our workforce having had a lived experience of a mental health issue.
