About the role
Metro North Mental Health (MNMH) – The Prince Charles Hospital Short Stay Pathway (TPCH SSP) sits within the mental health inpatient setting for people who are experiencing mental health distress and will benefit from a Short Stay (up to 72 hours) incorporating individually tailored program of therapeutic interventions. Peer Workers will be an integral part of the team approach working alongside the TPCH SSP multidisciplinary team.
The TPCH SSP Peer Worker is employed to assist people who are experiencing mental health distress to develop a better understanding of recovery whilst utilising their lived experience to support the person to work towards achieving the best outcomes, as well as offering options for community connection when discharged.
