Job Duties
  • Perform all parts of the PT process.
  • Perform various Non-Destructive Tests to ensure quality and/or detect defects using PT NDT methods.
  • Record and evaluate inspection results.
  • Able to work safely and efficiently with minimum supervision.
  • Will conduct NDT inspections and interpret results to accept/reject parts.
  • Set up and calibrate non-destructive testing equipment.
  • Assist in developing techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.
  • Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results.
  • Organize and report test results.
  • Collaborate with Methods, Quality and Engineering in developing innovative solutions to problems.
  • Participating in continuous improvement initiatives for the NDT process
  • Perform inspection duties to ensure all products, processes and services comply with applicable airworthiness, Company, or customer quality requirements.
  • Maintain a clean work area and alert their supervisor of any safety concerns.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Level II: CGSB Certification in PT is mandatory.
  • Previously qualified candidates under NAS410 or other NDT certifications may be considered as an alternate.
  • Experience working in a Nadcap environment is considered an asset.
  • Proficiency with computers (MS Office suite).
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with strong oral and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Have the skills and knowledge to set-up equipment and calibrations.
  • Have the skills and knowledge to conduct tests, interpret and evaluate test results, accept or reject products to the applicable standard and document results.
  • Be familiar with the scope and limitations of the method and techniques.
  • Be capable of providing guidance and supervision to trainees, Level 1-limited personnel, and Level 1 personnel in the method.
  • Be familiar with the codes, standards, and other contractual documents that control the method as utilized by the employer.
  • Be capable of developing and writing inspection procedures and written instructions, which must be approved by a Level 3 certified expert in the method.
  • Have a good knowledge of materials manufacturing and processes, inspection technology, and aircraft maintenance relevant to the employer.
