We are based in a modern manufacturing complex, occupying 10 factories in Kilsyth and currently employ around 150 employees.

About the Position
Primary Purpose of The Role:
To determine, through audit inspection if finished products meet quality requirements and product specification. Where non-compliant products are identified, take corrective and preventative action to prevent recurrence.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Inspect material for defects and non-compliance using standard checklist and technology.
- Raise non-conformance reports and agree corrective action to prevent recurrence.
- Liaise with other managers and departments to coordinate corrective actions.
- Work with design and development engineers to improve product quality to meet customer specifications.
- Train and support other staff in areas of quality assurance and compliance.
- Recommend changes to systems and processes to improve production quality.
- Work in production as and when required.
OHS Responsibilities:
- Look after own safety and the safety of others
- To follow all safety rules and regulations.
- To keep the inspection workstation/work area clean and tidy.
- Report any risks and hazards
Key Performance Measures/Outcomes:
- All defective and non-compliant products identified and quarantined.
- Prompt action is taken to resolve quality issues.
Qualifications Required:
Desirable:
- Qualification in Quality Auditing
Experience, Skill & Knowledge Required:
- 2+ years of experience as a Quality Inspector or in a similar position.
- High attention to detail (meticulous).
- Ability to concentrate for long periods of time.
- Technical ability to operate inspection equipment.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Good record keeping skills.
Additional Information:
- Must be able to read and speak English to a high level.
- Must have good eyesight.
- Must be willing to undertake any other related duties that are within the postholder’s skill and ability.
NB: This is a permanent fulltime position 38 hours per week. Working days/hours are Monday to Thursday starting at 6am and finishing at 4 pm; there is some flexibility around working hours.
